Pokélective Returns & Refunds Policy (UK)

At Pokélective, we are committed to providing high-quality Pokémon cards, sealed products, and collectibles. Due to the nature of our items—many of which are collectible, graded, or sealed—we enforce a strict no returns policy, except where required by UK consumer law.

All Sales Are Final

We do not accept returns or exchanges for:

  • Single cards (raw or graded)
  • Sealed products (booster packs, boxes, etc.)
  • Opened or unsealed items
  • Items where the seal has been tampered with, removed, or altered in any way

This policy is in place to protect against fraudulent activity such as weighing, resealing, and item swapping, which unfortunately can and does occur in the trading card industry.

Consumer Rights and Exceptions

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you may have the right to cancel certain distance purchases within 14 days of receipt. However, please note the following exceptions, which apply to most products sold by Pokélective:

We do not accept returns under the 14-day “cooling-off” period for:

  • Sealed items that have been opened, unsealed, or tampered with (Regulation 28(3)(a))
  • Items that have been personalised or altered in any way after delivery
  • Products that are likely to depreciate rapidly in value, such as collectibles, trading cards, or limited releases (Regulation 28(3)(b))

Once a sealed product is opened, your right to cancel is forfeited.

Incorrect or Damaged Items

We take high-resolution photographs of every item prior to dispatch to ensure quality and accuracy. If you believe you have received:

  • An incorrect item, or
  • An item damaged in transit

You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery, providing:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the item and packaging
  • A description of the issue

Where the claim is valid and damage or error is confirmed, we may issue a refund or replacement at our discretion. Claims made outside the 48-hour window may not be accepted.

Tampering and Fraud Protection

To protect our customers and ourselves:

  • All sealed items are photographed and security documented before shipment
  • Serial numbers, identifiable features, and packaging condition are recorded
  • Any attempt to return a product not matching our records will be rejected and may be reported as fraud

By placing an order with Pokélective, you acknowledge and agree to this policy. This policy complies with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, including applicable exceptions for sealed and perishable goods.
